บทคัดย่อ
The purposes of this paper are to present the behavior of transverse bending moments of continuous RC deck slabs on three steel girders and to compare the results with some selected methods of simplified analysis and with AASHTO. Obviously AASHTO slab moments in the specification formula require only spacing of girder which is based on simple rigid girders subjected to wheel load. In addition, the slab moment formula was obtained by Westergaard's solution that was not considered the settlement of supports directly affected the bending moment in slab. To obtain higher accuracy of slab moment, one has to use extensive data and it is time consuming using computer-based analytical method. Some of the parameters such as girder deflection, bridge span lengths, deck configurations, and mid-span diaphragm effects were considered in this analysis using the 3-D Beam-Shell finite element model. Analysis results of one-lane bridge showed that the negative bending moment in the deck at mid-span of a bridge is relatively low especially for noncomposite sections without mid-span diaphragm as illustrated in this study.
