Abstract

Inductive power transfer systems use the principle of magnetic coupling to transfer power through the air gap. The resonant inverter is use to produce magnetic flux by generating high frequency current transmitting through the power pad. The basic topologies give the large inverter current with the large conduction loss. This paper proposed the LCL resonant voltage source inverter in order to reduce the power device rating. The proposed IPT system has two operating points which different power required. The ZVS operation region and the two operating points are validated by the AC sweep of actual load and the frequency response entire system is presented. Finally, the experimental results at two operating points with the efficiency comparison. ฉ 2016 IEEE.
