In this paper we propose the study of a Class-E-DE converter circuit which is used in renewable energy electrical power generation systems. The Class-E-DE converter circuit consists of a Class-E resonant inverter and a Class-DE rectifier. This converter is used to convert low voltage DC to high voltage DC and operates on a zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) and low dv/dt mode in order to reduce switching losses at the main switch and the rectifier diode. This converter can increase the output voltage more than older models. The input voltage from the renewable energy source was about 36 V and the output voltage not less than 400 V, the increased output voltage depends on the voltage gain of the circuit. Then, the output voltage of the converter was transferred to the inverter and converted to low frequency AC voltage for the connection to the grid. The converter is important to increase the voltage and efficiency of the grid connection for renewable energy systems. The efficiency of this converter is more than 82% and it operates at a frequency of 1 MHz. The circuit device designed for high density power increased the efficiency of the converter. ฉ 2016 IEEE.
