Abstract

This paper presents a comparative study of different structures of multi-transmitter coils single-receiver coil system, used in the inductive power transfer (IPT) applications. The aim is to compare the misalignment tolerance and system efficiency. Three different structures of multi-transmitter coils are simulated using a finite element analysis (FEA) software, to compare the magnetic flux density. Then, it is experimentally verified through magnetic coupling coefficient between coupled coils, at different horizontal misalignment from 0 to 5 cm. The measured system efficiency of three structures, at the same horizontal misalignment and output power of 10W are also provided. ฉ 2018 KIEE EMECS (KIEE Electrical Machinery and Energy Conversion Systems).
