บทคัดย่อ

Professional communication skills are essential to achieve success in career for engineering graduates. Currently, many employers are looking for graduates with strong professional communication skills. The criteria for accreditation of engineering programs by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) also require that communication skills should be integrated into the graduate curriculum. In this study, we present some examples of engineering programs in two Asian universities, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand and Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) in Japan, where the professional communication skills of students are developed through university-industry collaborations. Both KMUTT and SIT have implemented educational programs through collaboration with industries to prepare students to deal with globalization and the ever-expanding innovative ecosystem. These programs are designed to help students acquire the required skill sets and work experience as part of their curriculum. ฉ 2019 IEEE.
