Abstract
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) from natural dyes have been developed for higher efficiency. A composition of dye-sensitized that acts on the absorption of solar. Coffee is one of the choices for dye-sensitized. Therefore, this research was to study natural dye-sensitized solar cells from coffee dye-sensitized. The Robusta and Arabica were dissolved in DI water and Ethanol to compare the efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cells from the dye-sensitized. It was found that the maximum absorption at Robusta mixed with DI water (R+D). It was able current density was 2.574 mA/m2, the voltage was 0.459 V, the filter factor was 0.800 and the highest efficiency was 0.189%. In the use of coffee sensitized dyes for solar cells, the sensitized dye types were more efficient than those of the berry extract group.
