Abstract
This research studied the effect of enzymatic hydrolysis using a combination of Cellic Ctec2 cellulase and Cellic Htec2 xylanase on sugar production from sugarcane bagasse after biological pretreatment. The optimization of pretreatment was performed using the Box-Behnken design and was utilized by the Design-Expert software. The maximal conditions were as follows: the substrate (2.5% (w/v)), hydrolysis duration (24 h), Cellic Ctec2 (29.14 FPU/g substrate) and Cellic Htec2 (75 XU/g substrate) concentration.
