Abstract
This engineering project aims to increase production capacity of automotive spring
shackle rubber part by work study method and ECRS method. The solution is to design a new
injection mold that increase number of cavities from 8 to 1 6 cavities and improve the cutting
line for easier ejection and cutting process. Moreover, the laser marking process has been
eliminated and combined with the injection molding process by laser marking on cavities of
the new injection mold. The cost of new injection mold is 40,000 baht and it was found that
production capacity has increased by 4 6 units per hour (from 6 0 units per hour to 1 0 6 units
per hour) which is 76.66 % and production cost has reduced 1.66 baht per unit (from 8.66 baht
per unit to 7.00 baht per unit) which is 19.17 % and the breakeven point is 2,858 units.
