Abstract
Nowadays, Industrial sector of Thailand has become to the industrial revolution 4th era that affected to all business which should be adapted, especially warehousing business. Therefore, it is an important part of logistics business that have to be concerned for the storage efficiency. In this research aims to study of the factors that affect the automated storage and retrieval system selection by unit load and this research is suitable for a person who interested in warehouse transformation by new technology. This study has to gather all factors from literatures and the data were analyzed using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique to find the weight of each of factors by the warehousing expertise. The findings can be divided into 3 dimensions and 18 factors including the investment dimension, the management dimension, and the operation dimension with 3, 9, and 6 factors, respectively. Furthermore, the top three rank of the factors that affect the Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) selection are consisted of the installation cost, the throughput rate, the minimum time to storage and ship. In conclusion, there are still have other important factors and needed to be apply in order to select the appropriate of storage equipment in the future.
