Abstract

The beginning of the construction of the Nurulhuda Mosque came from the will of the people in the community who wanted to build a place to pray together. In the past, there were not many Muslims in this community. Originally, there was no mosque, only Balae (small area for religious activities). The position that used to be Balae is now a waterfront pavilion. As the community expands and has more members, both from immigration from other sources such as Pattani, Phra Pradaeng (Samut Prakan) and Charoen Krung Thanon Tok, and from marriage and family expansion of people in the community. Therefore, initiated the construction of a mosque started. The land was donated to build a mosque, as well as an area for a Kubor or a place for burial of people in the community which were built nearby the mosque in the area close to the former Balae. When searching for the history, it was found that this mosque was built of golden teak that is over 100 years old and has a history linked to the Al-Atik Mosque.
