Abstract
In a research project Study of the effects of recycled amount of recycled plastic at different ratios on mechanical and optical properties of corrugated plastics. The objective of this study was to study the mechanical and optical properties of corrugated plastics mixed with recycled pellets at different ratios. In corrugated plastic with a thickness of 4 mm. The corrugated plastic sheets were produced at a thickness of 4 mm. 0%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, then mechanical property test. Is the side of the vertical pressure resistance (Edge Crush Resistance), Flat Crush Resistance, Puncture Resistance, Shore C Hardness Test (Shore Hardness Test) of corrugated plastics mixed with recycled pellets in different proportions. The optics were tested for corrugated plastics, e.g., color of sheets when mixing recycled plastics at different ratios. CIE L * a * b * color was measured. Found in corrugated plastics that are mixed with recycled plastic pellets. Resulting in reduced mechanical properties and in optics, it was found that the color changed to yellow more, when mixing recycled plastic pellets.
