Abstract

This work used a team teaching approach to conduct capstone projects for undergraduate students in IT.  The approach aimed to solve issues such as differing focus by individual advisors and varied advisor guidance. The approach made lecturers and students become partners in developing capstone projects by having lecturers hold advising clinics to provide guidance to students in programming, database, and infrastructure.  Key outcomes were improved technical advice across all student groups, resulting in improved project quality; more accurate and more consistent assessment.  The clinics resulted in both corrective and preventive measures and can help improve the program in the future.
