Design of a Current Source Half-bridge Inverter Used in WPT System

This paper presents design process of a current source half-bridge inverter which is used in wireless power transfer (WPT) system. For a given circuit parameters of WPT system, the optimal operating frequency, resonant capacitances, and required magnitude of DC current source, are designed to achieve targeted output power. An example to design the inverter circuit to obtain output power of 120 W is also introduced. Computer simulation of a designed circuit verifies the presented design example.
