Abstract

Abstract: In this article, a new distribution family for non-zero count datais proposed. It is developed from the Poisson-weighted exponentialdistribution. Various theoretical properties of the proposeddistribution, such as the probability generating function, momentgenerating function, characteristic function, and moments arediscussed. The method of maximum likelihood is used to estimatethe parameters. Finally, some real data sets are applied to showthe performance of the proposed distribution. © 2021, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
