Abstract
The key element of an Electric Vehicle (EV) is a battery. But the battery itself has a disadvantage about the heat. When the heat increases, it will defect the efficiency of the storage. This paper proposes the system for prolonging battery by controlling the surface temperature of the battery. In this proposed system, the application is made by simple device, heat pipe, and control of the temperature for condensation process which is the exchange process of thermal energy by PID control. To evaluate the performance of proposed system, the results reveal compare the surface temperature of battery between the conventional method and the proposed method. The results show that the temperature surface of battery is almost constant even increasing the load. Meanwhile, the benefit of this system can help prolong battery for EV or Hybrid Car.
