Abstract
This research focuses on design of the axial burner for enhancement of natural gas combustion efficiency. Axial burner is almost applied for boiler in industrial sector and power plant. In order to avoid the flash back phenomena, the non-premixed combustion is used for this study. However, the non-premixed combustion affected to flame temperature and flame stability, thus it is necessary to design the axial burner for both safety and flame stability.
This research focuses on the spiral air port on axial burner. The spiral design is expected to enhance the mixing between air and fuel for completed combustion. In this study, there are different designs of spiral air port such as spiral types, spiral size and spiral direction for study of flame characteristics, flame temperature, flammability limit and air-fuel flow charateristics
This study is expected to enhance the combustion efficiency and decrease the energy consumption for boiler and gas turbine in power plant.
