Abstract

The tender coconut is one of the most well-known agricultural products in Thailand. Due to fertile land, Ratchburi and neighboring provinces are the leading producers and producing coconuts with sweet coconut juice and soft coconut meat. As it is popular for both domestic and international markets, but at the same time also produces a lot of organic waste. Particularly the coconut husk, which can be developed and used as a package or cushioning material to support the BCG economic model and reduce organic waste. This research will identify the best technique or procedure to create a package or cushioning material with less or non-chemical ingredients. From the coconut husk, the fibers are removed and combined with additives and a binder. Then, required shapes will be produced utilizing the pulp molding process and tested for physical attributes including strength, flexibility, and density. The community's production capacity is focused during the production design process. Moreover, users' perception of the products is also studied in order to promote their use both domestically and abroad.
