Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the olfactory perception of the elderly (active aging) and the effect of different scents on the mood of the elderly. To be used as knowledge and basic information in choosing the right scent for the development of products for the elderly that need to add scent. This research project consisted of 3 parts as follows: Selection of scents preferred by the elderly. The study of the proper concentration of different odors   in the opinions and perceptions of the elderly and the effect of the selected smell on the mood of the elderly by working with Kasetsart University Sensory Analysis and consumer Research Center (KUSCR), a team specializing in sensory testing. By cooperation, function agencies in the area, namely Thung Khru District Office Elderly clubs in the target area Expected outcomes in this project Social and Community. The expected output is to know the olfactory perception of the elderly and the effect of smell on the mood of the elderly. and use academic knowledge Such applications are applied to benefit the target group, including published in academic journals national and international.
