Development of Luminescence properties of single crystal scintillator for radiation sensor in diagnostic medical imaging apparatus

The aim of this reseach project is development of novel scintillators with high efficeincy that is multicomponent garnet single srystal. Multicomponent garnet scintillator with high light yeild, fast response can be applied for use as radiation detectors and medical imaging system. In addition multicomponent garnet scintillator with appropriate thickness can use to stop high energy photon more than 150 keV. that can be use as radiation detector in medical instrument such as CT-scan, PET scan, SPECT scan, Gamma camera.
