Abstract
The aim this research and innovation promoting activity is to develop sensory testing skill of visually impaired people to be able to perform the taste test on food items from food vendors. There will be 5 schools for blind people and person with disabilities training center in different designated areas including Chonburi (Pattaya), Nakornpathum (Sampran), Nontaburi (Pak kred) Sinhgburi, and Bangkok. The program consisted of lecture and workshop. The activities will be conducted by professional sensory analyst and assistants who have experience with sensory analysis total of 10 persons. The 2 training programs are fundamental sensory analysis program (target 50 people) and Basic sensory test for food (target 15 people). The survey will be conducted a survey in order to understand food vendor’s general interests and interest in participating in the program (target 100 vendors). Then select 2 school or training center and 2 food vendors. The selected parties will develop the 2 food items using local ingredients. The expected outcomes of this activities is to encourage the blind school and training center to apply training manual for teaching or training the blind students (target 50 people) per years. Establish Facebook online network and develop a Facebook Page management system to serve as a service and public relations channel including recruiting establishments to join the project and consult during extend results.
