Abstract
This research project aims to develop a device for collecting and conveying coconut water with a modern technology that is low cost and highly safe. This device consists of five parts: 1) a disassembled and a foldable ladder with a length of about 4 meters, made of steel, weighing about 3 kilograms, which is strong and safe. The ladder can be assembled and folded in about 2. 30 minutes, and can support up to 150 kilograms of usable weight (according to laboratory test results). The ladder is suitable for coconut trees with an average height of not more than 4 meters, and takes only 40 seconds to move between trees. The cost per piece is about 450 baht. 2) A swivel invention chair consists of two parts: a set of chair that can move, and a rail attached around the tree to allow the wheel of the chair to rotate around the coconut tree. The adjustment can be rotated almost around the trunk at about 240 degrees. The chair can bear the pressure from sitting or stepping on about 100 kilograms. The chair should be installed and used in conjunction with removable and foldable ladder and a bridge between the coconut trees. The cost per piece is about 800 baht. 3) The bridge between the coconut trees is suitable for installation in the plot where the height of the coconut tree is greater than 5 meters. The actual test results were performed by 6 operators, along with luggage and fall protection devices. Giving information and opinions in the same way that walkways made of tear steel together with plastic-coated wire rope handrails are suitable for use because they do not hurt the hand when using. 4) The conveyor system consists of conveyor rail set, tractor-control unit, and a conveyor. A conveyor kit consists of a support arm and a conveyor rail, which uses steel material for strength and stability of the rail. The tractor uses a 350-watt electric motor and a 24-volt battery power source, controlled and operated by a remote control with a control distance of about 10 meters, at a maximum straight speed of 3 meters per second. The test result in conveys 80 cylinders of coconut water with a total weight of about 62 kilograms, taking about 25 minutes per cycle which takes about 30 minutes less than transporting by boat. The cost of the system is about 850-900 baht per tree. And 5) The temperature control cylinder uses a thermoelectric plate as a cooling generator. Power supply from battery, voltage 12 volts, current 16 amps, with a total weight of about 3 kilograms. The cooling performance test results showed that the cooling cylinder can reduce the temperature from an ambient temperature of 30 degrees Celsius to 0 degrees Celsius in 57 minutes. The temperature control cylinder can work continuously 3 hours 14 minutes and cost about 5,000 baht per set. As for the results of chemical analysis, it was found that the coconut flower water harvested with a cooler plastic cylinder had a pH higher than 7.00, the total dissolved solids (TSS) was about 14.2-14.8, and the pH at titration was about 0.07-. 0.11%. The microbial analysis showed that the coconut flower water stored in cooler plastic cylinder was reduced during the period of 1-12 hours with lower levels of coliform bacteria and lactic bacteria than in the plastic cylinders at ambient temperature but the amount of yeast and mold are similar.
