Abstract
The purposes of this study were (1) to study the factors affecting work performance in a construction (hotel) project with Thai and Chinese nationality workers; (2) to analyze the relationship between workers of dual nationality and the factors that affect the performance in all 6 areas and (3) to apply the factors affecting the operation of construction projects (hotels) with Thai and Chinese workers to solve problems in working together in the future. The questionnaire is used as a tool to collect information. The study sample consisted of 134 construction-related workers only. Baseline statistical data was analyzed using two independent t-tests. The results found that (1) communication and coordination work was the most important factor affecting the implementation in construction with the highest value for the degree of agreement, 4.47 average value. (2) In the n case of hypothetical analysis, it was found that the nationality of the worker did not to the performance of work. In contrast, the job positions of the workers in both nationalities had a great influence on affecting work performance significantly. It is because the different responsibilities of the operators or employees provide different working performance.
