Abstract
Due to the current technology involved in energy conservation, the use of the refrigeration system, the researcher has an objective to study the energy consumption of the chiller for maximum efficiency and maximum cooling performance. The researchers used heat energy to heat the refrigerant by exchanging heat through a heat exchanger and reducing the operation of the 9.4 kW refrigeration compressor Three study of data determines the operation of compressors at frequencies of 50Hz, 45Hz, and 40Hz. The experimental period is 12 hours. Normally, the refrigerant has an operating temperature of 62 °C. While reducing the compressor cycle, the researcher will increase the temperature to the refrigerant at the heat exchange device When the compressor is running at 45Hz, the refrigerant temperature is increased to 75 °C. and at 40Hz working cycle, the refrigerant temperature was increased to 95 °C. The results of the experiment showed that when comparing the energy consumption of the refrigeration system with the compressor frequency at 40/50Hz and 45/50Hz, it was found that the energy saving effect was at40/50Hz, energy consumption can be reduced by 34.36%, and at 45/50Hz, energy consumption can be reduced by 15.30%. Cooling (C.O.P.) is different was found that C.O.P. refrigeration systems with 50Hz compressors have the highest and lowest cooling efficiency of 2.31/1.88, 45Hz with the highest and lowest cooling efficiency of 2.22/1.83 and 40Hz. The highest and lowest cooling efficiency at 2.19/1.99 when comparing the cooling efficiency data, the efficiency difference was 3.89%, (50/45Hz) and 5.19%, (50/40Hz)
