Abstract
This research aimed to study the critical thinking ability of students after receiving learning
management by using open-ended problems on statistics. The target group in this research was 30
volunteer students in Mathematics Program at Thepsatri Rajabhat University. Research instruments
consisted of 1) lesson plans using open-ended problems on statistics and 2) critical thinking ability
tests before and after the learning process. The data were analyzed by using percentage, mean,
standard deviation, and paired sample t-test. The research results showed that 93.34% of the
students had critical thinking ability at high and very high level. The critical thinking ability of the
students after receiving learning management by using open-ended problems on statistics was
significantly higher than before at a significant level of .05 .
