Abstract
The research purposes are as follows: (1) to compare the pretest and posttest results involving a scientific conception of students learning using analogy approach with social media online on the topic of atoms and properties of elements; (2) to compare the pretest and posttest results involving analytical thinking skills of students learning using analogy approach with social media online on the topic of atoms and properties of elements. The research design was one-group pretest-posttest design. The samples of the research included 30 matthayom suksa 4/1 students in Mathematics-Science Program in the second semester of the 2021 academic year of secondary school in the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Lopburi province. The samples were obtained by cluster sampling. The duration of the study was 19 periods. The research instruments were (1) lesson plans of atoms and properties of elements; (2) worksheet of atoms and properties of elements (3) scientific conception test and analytical skills test on learning using analogy approach with social media online, and (4) Students’ satisfaction assessment on learning using analogy approach with social media online. The hypotheses testing in this research used a t-test for dependent samples. The results were: (1) students who learned using analogy approach with social media online on the topic of atoms and properties of elements had higher scientific conceptions than those before instruction at a .05 level of significance; (2) students who learned through using analogy approach with social media online on the topic of atoms and properties of elements had higher analytical thinking skills than those before instruction at a .05 level of significance. And (3) Students were satisfied in learning through using analogy approach with social media online, this way was made easier to understand, visualize and recognize and their analytical thinking skill were developed.
