Abstract

The quality of cold process flower of salt soap from were investigated after incubated at room temperature for 3 weeks. The quality measurement of the cold process flower salt soap included chemical and antimicrobial properties, sensory analysis specifically on cleansing property. It was found that the quality of the sample met Thai Industrial Standard TIS 29-2545 in pH, free hydroxide value except for the amount of total fatty acid that was lower than the standard. The soap had the ability to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus. The cold process flower of salt soup shows the cleansing efficiency parity to the commercial flower of salt soap.
