Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the problem-solving ability of Grade 6 students after receiving learning management skills by using SSCS with bar model in word problems involving fractions. The target of this research was a group of 147 students from Prathom Suksa 6 during the first semester of the academic year 2022. The research instruments consisted of lesson plans using SSCS with bar model and a mathematical problem-solving ability test in word problems involving fractions. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean and standard deviation. This research found that 94.56 percent of the target group had a higher ability to solve fraction word problems after the intervention.
