Abstract

This research aims to 1) design and construct a test to measure the understanding of the scientific concepts of Static Fluid and Dynamics Fluid of students in grade 12 and 2) explore the understanding of the scientific concept of Static Fluid and Dynamics Fluid of students in grade 12. The researcher chose to use a sample group of 70 students in grade 12 from school in Bangkok. The sample group was the students studying in the Science-Mathematics program in the second semester of the academic year 2021. The students will be selected individually. Research instrument is a test to measure the understanding of the scientific concepts of Static Fluid and Dynamics Fluid that war qualified. There are 7 questions, divided into 3 objectives. The survey found that 60 percent of students had discrepancies in their opinions. The results of the survey revealed that the students had misconceptions on 5 issues (The cross-sectional area of the vessel and the pressure in the static fluid, the height associated with the pressure in the static fluid, the position which is nearby the large tank having a lot of pressure, the pressure is directly proportional to the speed and calculation of pressure in any cases and the value of pressure can be obtained from the Pascal equation)
