Abstract

This research was to develop the teaching technique on Applied Optics course and study of learning achievement of Applied Physics’ students in 3rd and 4th years around 30 people by Interactive Lecture Demonstrations ( ILDs) on Mechanical Wave. The 1 8items of Mechanical Wave Conceptual Test (MWC) was used to test the understanding of the undergraduate students as a pretest- posttest. The test covered 4 concepts (Basic components and quantities of waves, interpretation of the wave images, the factors affecting wave, and Application) . The results shown that the 64 undergraduate students’ average scores for all classes were significantly higher than their average pre-test scores (p<0.05). In addition, the class average normalized gains was 0.87 as high range. So that Interactive Lecture Demonstrations ( ILDs) can development the undergraduate students’ knowledge.
