Abstract
The Science-Based Technology Vocational College (Chonburi), in collaboration with the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology serving as its mentor, aims to develop students' competencies by implementing a project-based learning (PjBL) approach utilizing a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) for its teachers. This work was to examine 31 teachers about their knowledge and understanding of the 5-step PjBL specifically designed and implementation of PjBL in the classroom and was done through a workshop using questionnaires, sharing, and reflection.
The results of the study indicated that 1) teachers have knowledge, understanding, and skills related to the project-based learning approach, especially providing opportunities for students to ask questions and discuss. and selecting project topics that meet the needs of the community at 84 percent but identifying appropriate themes or topics and projects being consistent with student interests, processes, and assessment tools lower at 70 percent and 2) participation in the workshop motivated teachers to embrace a growth mindset when implementing the 5-step Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method. It encouraged them to practice creative communication, engage in reflective teaching practices, and actively participate in learning and sharing their teaching experiences. Following the completion of the workshop, teachers successfully applied the PjBL approach in their classrooms.
