Abstract

The objectives of this research project were 1) to explore the need for hybrid-learning digital media module on “Creating 2D Computer Animation”, 2) to develop and determine the quality of the developed hybrid-learning digital media module on “Creating 2D Computer Animation”, 3) to measure the learning achievement after the implementation of the developed hybrid-learning digital media module, and 4) to study the satisfaction of the sample after the implementation of the developed hybrid-learning digital

media module. The research instruments included 1) A survey on the need for hybrid learning digital media module on “Creating 2D Computer Animation”, 2) Hybrid learning digital media module on “Creating 2D Computer Animation”, 3) The content and media quality assessment form, 4) Learning achievement test, and 5) Satisfaction survey. Data were collected from 90 second-year vocational certificate students, Department of Computer Graphics, Chetupon Commercial College. Based on a simple random sampling, the sample consisted of second-year vocational certificate students, Department of Computer Graphics, Chetupon Commercial College by drawing lots from one classroom of 30 students. The results revealed that 1) the sample’s interest in the developed hybrid learning digital media module on “Creating 2D Computer Animation” was at a high level. In terms of their needed hybrid learning digital media type, most of them (77.80 %) needed motion graphics, followed by e-book (46.70 %). 2) The quality of the developed media in 2 aspects, namely, content and media was at a very good level. 3) The sample’s learning achievement score after the implementation of the developed hybrid-learning digital media module was higher than before with a statistical significance level of .05. 4) The sample’s satisfaction with the developed hybrid learning digital media module was at the highest level (𝑥𝑥𝑥=4.51, S.D. = 0.56). Therefore, it could be concluded that the developed hybrid learning digital media module on “Creating 2D Computer Animation” could be practically used to enhance the knowledge about creating 2D computer animation.
