Abstract
The objectives of this research are to determine the optimal number of employees required for a capacity of 26 CAB/day for the side floor station and the door sub-assembly station, and to identify ways to reduce Non-Value-Added (NVA) activities to improve processes, thereby supporting operator workload when the headcount is reduced. The research methodology began with a study of the process and the number of operators in the current situation to establish the standard time for each station, leading to the calculation of the percentage of operator utilization. Subsequently, the knowledge of work study was applied to assess the workload of each operator, resulting in a reduction in the number of operator headcount. The findings indicate that the average operator %utilization increased to 77.14 from 39.53 at the side floor station and to 79.71 from 60.09 at the door sub-assembly station.
