Abstract

This research is developing a robot that can follow humans by detecting barcodes attached to the person using the Pixy2 camera, which uses machine vision principles to see in the same way that humans can see. The camera is programmed to identify and track predefined barcodes. The researchers tested the robot to track barcodes attached to humans in a variety of environmental conditions. One limitation of the research was the sharpness of the robot's camera. This affects the ability to detect and distinguish barcodes at a distance or in poor lighting conditions. In five trials, the robot was able to successfully track barcodes attached to humans every time. But it will take a different time to travel, which will depend on various factors. In addition, the sharpness of the camera is also part of the accuracy in tracking barcodes over long distances and in light conditions. That is not conducive, not as good as it should be As mentioned above, limitations in camera sharpness have a significant impact on the robot's ability to detect and track barcodes attached to the subject. This research highlights the need to develop or use cameras with higher resolution. and includes improvements to image processing algorithms to increase barcode detection performance in a variety of lighting conditions. So that the robot can work more efficiently.
