Abstract
Currently, theoretical education can be achieved through off-site teaching media, but practical education requires hands-on experience with real equipment or tools, which may not be accessible in all locations. This research introduces a virtual reality (VR) lathe training program designed to enable learners to access education without geographical constraints (Learning Everywhere). The program utilizes VR technology to enhance practical skills, reduce potential risks to learners, and minimize the costs of equipment and materials. A notable feature of this program is its development using Unity 3D software and the C# programming language to simulate lathe operations with highly realistic animations of actual machinery and tools used in practice within a virtual world to be as realistic as possible. The program includes instructions on using a lathe and a test to assess knowledge and skills of learners. The researchers use this program to train users who had no prior experience in operating real lathes, and after training, a survey was provided to the users. The survey results indicated that that the test participants understand how to use the lathe and equipment effectively.
