Abstract
This research is a mixed-methods study combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. It has three main objectives: 1) to study the popularity of street food among teenagers, 2) to analyze the relationship between lifestyle and street food consumption, and 3) to create a short animated film reflecting the street food consumption culture of Thai teenagers.
The research methodology includes data collection through interviews and questionnaires, using descriptive statistics for data analysis, specifically the arithmetic mean () out of a maximum score of 5 points.
The research findings show that the most popular street foods among teenagers are grilled pork, fried meatballs, Pad Thai, and stir-fried basil with meat. The relationship between lifestyle and street food consumption can be categorized into two main aspects: 1) the context of living and working environments, and 2) the convenience and speed of food preparation, which often involves uncomplicated cooking processes.
Regarding the evaluation of the short animated film, it received an overall excellent rating ( = 4.70). The detailed ratings are as follows: creating an atmosphere that conveys street food (
= 4.57), animation quality (
= 4.42), character design (
= 4.58), and use of color to create atmosphere (
= 4.65), all of which are in the excellent range.
This research presents an interesting perspective on the relationship between street food consumption culture and the lifestyle of Thai teenagers and demonstrates the potential of presenting cultural issues through animated films.
