Abstract
Climate Action towards coastal erosion in Thailand is necessary not only for developing suitable defensive techniques in rigid and/or soft structural engineering or nature-based solutions but also for overcoming disagreements from stakeholder groups living in the area. As a result, the purpose of this research is to assess community - level impacts on society. By investigating changes in three issues: living (Live), occupation (Work), and land use (Play) for the Seawall Project of Maharat Beach, Sathingpra District, Songkhla Province. This is a mixed - method research that included data from 76 samples. The study's findings revealed that land use contributed to the majority of the positive changes in society by encouraging the usage of tourism and recreation.
On the other hand, most negative societal changes were livelihoods—and job-related issues—especially for the fishing community in the area, which has a way of life and uses the seaside banks for employment. The findings support the proposal of alternatives for integrated management of coastal erosion in Thailand, taking into account economic, social, and environmental factors, especially in the End - Effect Area. Along with listening to stakeholders' opinions, stakeholders share responsibility.
