Developing an interactive web application set of videos to promote abstract thinking in graphic design for undergraduate students

This research aims to: 1) develop and assess the quality of an interactive web
application set of videos to promote abstract thinking in graphic design for undergraduate
students; 2) compare the knowledge of students before and after using the media kit; and 3)
evaluate student satisfaction with the developed media kit. The tools used include: 1) a set
of interactive web application videos to promote abstract thinking in graphic design for
undergraduate students; 2) a content and media quality assessment form; 3) a test measuring
knowledge of abstract thinking in graphic design; and 4) a satisfaction evaluation form. The
sample group consists of 30 third-year students from King Mongkut's University of Technology
Thonburi, Department of Educational Technology and Communication, who are enrolled in a
multimedia computer lesson development course. The students were selected through simple
random sampling by drawing lots. The research results indicate that: 1) the developed
interactive web application-based video media package to promote abstract thinking in graphic
design for undergraduate students achieved a good quality rating for content (𝑥̅ = 4.42, S.D. =
0.44) and media (𝑥̅ = 3.95, S.D. = 0.49; 2) students had significantly higher knowledge of
abstract thinking in graphic design after using the media package at the .01 significance level;
and 3) the satisfaction evaluation results were very good (𝑥̅ = 4.59, S.D. = 0.53). In conclusion,
the developed video media package has good content and media quality.
