The development of computer assisted instruction for the subject computer and information to careers in vacation certificate

The objectives of this research were 1) study the effectiveness of the developed CAI
for the subject of Computer and Information Technology for Career, Vocational Certificate
level, 2) compare the academic achievement before and after learning with CAI at the
statistical significance level of .05, and 3) study the level of satisfaction in studying with CAI.
The sample consisted of 24, class 3/1 vocational certificate students in the Marketing
Department, Samut Prakan Technical College who studied the subject of Computer and
Information Technology for Career in the first semester of the academic year 2024. The
samples were randomly selected using the cluster random sampling method. The research
instruments were 1) CAI, 2) lesson plan, 3) pre-test with CAI, 4) post-test with CAI, and 5)
learning satisfaction assessment form. The statistics used in the research were percentage,
mean, standard deviation, and Paired Sample T-Test.
The research results found that 1) the efficiency of the developed CAI lessons for
the subject of Computer and Information Technology for Careers at the vocational certificate
level had the efficiency values during and after learning (E1/E2) equal to 76/86. 2) The
learners had higher learning achievement with CAI lessons after learning than before learning
at a statistically significant level of .05. 3) The learners had the highest level of satisfaction
with CAI lessons (􀝔̅ =4.59, S.D.=0.50).
