Abstract

This research aimed to 1) develop a teaching set, Drafting Skill Development Using Inquiry- Based Teaching Method, Machine Drawing Subject 2, 2) study the academic achievement of students learning through a teaching set, Drafting Skill Development Using Inquiry-Based Teaching Method, Machine Drawing Subject 2, of second-year students, 3) to study student satisfaction through a teaching set, Drafting Skill Development Using Inquiry-Based Teaching Method, Machine Drawing Subject 2. The sample group used in the research was second-year vocational certificate students, Industrial Mechanics Department, Wapipathum Technical College, Maha Sarakham Province, academic year 1/2024, totaling 15 people, who were purposively selected. The research instruments included the student manual, teacher's manual, and satisfaction assessment form. The quality of the tools was examined by two groups of experts: four experts in the content of the subject of Mechanical Drafting 2 and three experts in the media for organizing learning activities. The results of the quality assessment of the tools were summarized as follows: 1) the consistency of the individual activity assessment form, with an average IOC of 0.97; 2) the consistency of the teaching set, with an average IOC of 0.91; 3) the consistency of the satisfaction assessment form, with an average IOC of 1.00; and 4) the quality of the teaching set for organizing activities, with an average of 4.65. The research tool trial (try out) was conducted with 17 third-year vocational certificate students in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Wapipatum Technical College, who had previously studied the subject of Mechanical Drafting 2. The results of the trial of the individual activity assessment form (the learning achievement test) were analyzed for quality using the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which was 0.95. The teaching set that had been examined for quality was then tested to determine its efficiency. The research results found that: The teaching set of drafting using inquiry-based teaching method in the subject of Machine Drawing 2 has an average efficiency value of E1/E2 of 86.38/84.20, which is in accordance with the criteria set at 80/80. The learning achievement of the students after learning has an average value of 83.96, which is higher than the standard criteria set at 80 percent with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. In addition, the students are most satisfied with the teaching set of Machine Drawing 2.
