Study on the Levels of Motivation, Engagement, and Self Regulation of Vocational Students in Institute of Vocational Education: Northeastern region 4

This research aimed to (1) study the levels of motivation, engagement, and selfregulation of vocational students in mechanical technology and (2) compare these factors with academicachievement. The sample consisted of 449 vocational and high vocational certificate students in mechanical technology from the Institute of Vocational Education: Northeastern Region 4, selected through stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a 5-point rating scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient 0.96. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Kruskal-Wallis H test, and ordinal logistic regression.The findings revealed that (1) students' motivation and engagement levels were moderate (𝑥̅= 2.0200, 1.9354). At the same time, self-regulation was moderately high (𝑥̅ = 2.1470, (2) motivation and engagement were significantly related to academic achievement, particularly in peer influence and academic activity participation, and factors significantly affecting academic achievement included activity participation, theory-practice integration, seeking consultation, and selfawareness.
