Abstract
This research utilizes the AI chatbot Kru Coding to assist in teaching basic programming, acting as an assistant teacher. The sample group consists of 27 second-year secondary school students studying technology-oriented subjects in the second semester of the 2023 academic year. Students use conventional teaching materials and leverage the chatbot Kru Coding during lessons to address the following issues: 1. Correcting programming problems or bugs as per the teacher's instructions. 2. Finding additional information to enhance knowledge and understanding. Pre - and post-learning tests were conducted to measure learning
efficiency, and a satisfaction survey was administered to students. The research results indicate that the Kru Coding chatbot has an effectiveness rating of 82.22/80.70, meeting the specified criterion of 80/80. This resulted in post-learning performance with an average score of 8.07 and satisfaction scores as follows: Software usage satisfaction averaged at 4.26, knowledge satisfaction at 4.36, and learning management satisfaction at 4.05, all of which were rated highly satisfactory
