Abstract
This research aimed to explore the needs and evaluate the effectiveness of hybrid learning management using the design thinking process on the topic of creating 3D models in Voxel Art format for undergraduate students. The study assessed the quality of student work, compared academic achievement, and evaluated learner satisfaction. The research tools consisted of: (1) a needs assessment questionnaire, (2) a learning activity plan for hybrid learning using the design thinking process on creating 3D Voxel Art models, (3) a quality evaluation form, (4) a student work assessment form, (5) an academic achievement test, and (6) a satisfaction survey. The sample group comprised 30 second-year undergraduate students from the Department of Learning Technology and Mass Communication, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, selected through purposive sampling. The hybrid learning format was implemented with this group. The results showed that the content quality was rated at a very good level (mean = 4.58, S.D. = 0.50), and media quality was also rated at a very good level (mean = 4.53, S.D. = 0.46). The overall quality of student work was rated very good (mean = 17.08, S.D. = 2.61). The students' post-test scores were significantly higher than their pre-test scores at the .05 level. Learner satisfaction was at the highest level (mean = 4.83, S.D. = 0.42). In conclusion, the hybrid learning approach using the design thinking process for teaching 3D Voxel Art modeling to undergraduate students is effective and practically applicable.
