Abstract
The objective of this research was to examine development guidelines for the dual
vocational education system in educational institutions under the Office of the Vocational
Education Commission within Maha Sarakham Province. A questionnaire was employed as the
research instrument for data collection from a sample group consisting of 326 individuals,
including administrative personnel and academic staff (instructors), who were involved in the
dual vocational education system at five educational institutions in the area. Data were
analyzed using mean and standard deviation to interpret levels of opinion, along with a oneway
analysis of variance (ANOVA) to compare differences in perspectives among the five
institutions across four key aspects: (1) curriculum management, (2) instructional and
assessment management, (3) vocational training management, and (4) supervision. The findings
revealed that the third aspect, vocational training management, specifically regarding the
preparation of students with essential basic professional and social skills prior to undertaking
workplace training was identified as the most critical area for development ( X = 4 . 6 8 ,
S.D. = 0.50) Additionally, the ANOVA results indicated no statistically significant differences at
the 95% confidence level in opinions across all four aspects among the five institutions. These
findings can be utilized as a guideline for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of
the dual vocational education system in alignment with the local context.
