Abstract

This research aimed to synthesize the outcomes of digital content development in Metaverse to enhance awareness among undergraduate students, focusing on content characteristics and formats, as well as the quality, perception, and satisfaction of the participants regarding Metaverse-based digital content. The study examined research conducted in the field of Educational Communications and Technology at the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, during the academic years 2023–2024, specifically related to the development of digital content in the Metaverse. A purposive sampling method was used to select three studies published by lecturers and researchers in national and international journals. The findings revealed that the developed Metaverse digital content featured diverse characteristics and various formats, such as online exhibitions combined with game-based learning activities, digital content sets for promoting university activities, and interactive digital content involving religious leaders to foster community cultural awareness. Expert evaluations of content and presentation quality rated the materials as good to very good. Participants’ perceived awareness was rated high to the highest, and their satisfaction with the digital content was rated high to the highest level. In conclusion, the development of digital content in the Metaverse is a high-quality communication approach that effectively enhances awareness and generates satisfaction among undergraduate students.
