Development of Learning Media Kits for Promoting Awareness in the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools for Digital Media Creation for Undergraduate Students

Abstract
This research aimed to: (1) develop learning media kits to promote awareness of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for digital media development for undergraduate students; (2) evaluate the quality of the developed learning media kits; (3) assess the awareness of the sample group; and (4) investigate the satisfaction of the sample group. The research instruments consisted of: (1) infographic and video media; (2) a quality assessment form for content and presentation media experts; (3) an awareness assessment form for the sample group; and (4) a satisfaction assessment form for the sample group. The sample group consisted of 30 fourth-year undergraduates enrolled in the first semester of the 2024 academic year at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, chosen using purposive sampling. The statistical methods employed for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and percentage. The findings revealed that the developed learning media set, designed to promote awareness of the use of AI tools for digital media development among undergraduate students, consisted of two primary media types. The infographic media included: (1) 9 AI Tools for Content Creation and (2) Things to Know Before Using AI in Work. The video media included: (1) an introduction to the content, (2) an introduction to the basic use of AI tools for article writing, (3) an introduction to the basic use of AI tools for image creation, and (4) an introduction to the basic use of AI tools for video editing. The quality evaluation by experts indicated that the content quality was at a very high level (Mean = 4.61, SD = 0.50), while the quality of the presentation media was also rated at a very high level (Mean = 4.55, SD = 0.50). The awareness evaluation of the sample group was at a high level (96.67%), and the satisfaction evaluation of the sample group was at the highest level (Mean = 4.86, SD = 0.40). Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed learning media set for promoting awareness of the use of AI tools in digital media development for undergraduate students is feasible and can be practically applied.
