Abstract

Bat is a natural predator of rice insect pests and is helpful in biological control method. Then the activity of bats has been studied by collecting data from ground to high altitude. This research has proposed the cooperative multirotor system as substitute for tethered balloon and kite. This system is composed of data collector multirotor which is medium-sized multirotor for hovering at decided altitude to collect data and carrier multirotor which is large-sized multirotor for carrying data collector multirotor up and down the altitude. This paper describes the development of camera guided control of data collector multirotor to land on hovering carrier multirotor. The basic verification experiment were perform indoor to eliminate environmental factors. The results show acceptable performance of the system. The experimental multirotor can land stably on the target with position error from the center of target 38 cm in x axis and 8 cm in y axis. ฉ 2016 IEEE.
