Abstract
The purpose of the research were: 1) to develop the ability to Solve Science Problems of MATTHAYOM SUKSA 4 students using Modified Essay Question (MEQ) in Covalent bonds and 2) to compare between pre-test and post-test score of the ability to solve Science Problems of MATTHAYOM SUKSA 4 students using Modified Essay Question (MEQ) in Covalent bonds. The sample group in this research were 30 students of MATTHAYOM SUKSA 4/1 in academic year 2021 term 1. The research instruments consist of 5 lesson plans of the 5Es of Inquiry-Based Learning in Covalent bonds for MATTHAYOM SUKSA 4 and the modified essay question (MEQ) of Covalent bonds. The data collected and analyzed by percentage, mean, S.D., and hypothesis testing by Paired sample t-test and One Sample t-test
The result showed that the MATTHAYOM SUKSA 4 students learning by using modified essay question (MEQ) of Covalent bonds found that the ability to solve scientific problems posttest score 73.28 percentage higher than pretest at the .05 level significant and higher than the specified criterion as 70 percentage.
