Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study learning achievement on linear equation with one variable of Matthayom Suksa 1 students after organizing learning activities using the reciprocal teaching. 2) to study the students’ ability in mathematical problem solving on linear equation with one variable of Matthayom Suksa 1 students after organizing learning activities using the reciprocal teaching. The sample group, derived by cluster random sampling, consisted of 39 Matthayom Suksa 1 students from Assumption Convent School at Bangkok, studying in the second semester of the academic year 2020. The research instruments were 9 lesson plans on the topic of linear equation based on the reciprocal teaching, the learning achievement and the mathematical problem solving ability test on the topic of linear equation with one variable. The research findings revealed that 1) the learning achievement of students after learned by using the reciprocal teaching was higher than 70 percent at the significance level .05. and 2) the average score of problem solving ability of students who learned by using the reciprocal teaching was higher than 70 percent at the significance level .05
