Abstract
The research titled "The Status of Knowledge, Systems, Mechanisms, Organizational Structures, and Policies Promoting Sustainable Universities and University Indicators" focuses on studying the development strategies for transforming universities into Sustainable Entrepreneurial Universities (SEU). Universities following the SEU model must integrate entrepreneurship with sustainable development across all dimensions, including economic, social, and environmental aspects. The findings indicate that driving universities to become SEUs requires clear mechanisms, which involve developing indicators that can evaluate various outcomes, such as the social impact of research, entrepreneurial skill development for students, efficient resource management within the university, and building collaborations with local and international partners. Additionally, developing appropriate indicators can help universities assess success across multiple dimensions, such as research that fosters social innovation. These indicators also reveal the real impact of sustainable development projects, enabling universities to continuously improve their operations. Key indicators developed include measuring the success of socially impactful research, reducing environmental impact, and fostering socially and environmentally responsible entrepreneurship. Policy recommendations focus on developing strategies and policies that promote sustainability within universities. This includes supporting research related to social and environmental innovation and establishing collaboration networks between universities and organizations, both domestically and internationally. Supporting the development of entrepreneurs in sectors crucial to sustainability will enable universities to create long-term positive impacts on society and the economy. The study also suggests developing a clear evaluation system tailored to the Thai context, allowing universities to use these indicators to track progress and enhance their operations efficiently.
